On Tuesday 3rd October, Sir Bill Cash, Member of Parliament for Stone, was invested with the Companion of Honour by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne The Princess Royal at Windsor Castle.
The award was created in 1917 and includes Winston Churchill and other Prime Ministers and consists of only 65 Members of the Companionship at any one time. Sir Bill is the only Companion of Honour in the House of Commons. Sir Bill paid tribute to his constituents for returning him as the Member of Parliament for Stone since 1997 and Stafford from 1984-1997. He will be retiring at the next General Election.
