Sir Gavin Williamson recently met with the owners renovating the Crown Hotel in Stone, a central hub in need of a lot of love.
Sir Gavin joined Aneesh and his team, who have endeavoured on a four-month project to repair the declining hotel and return it to its former glory. The Georgian-style hotel is over 200 years old yet has recently fallen into a state of disrepair. As an advocate for the preservation of historic buildings, Sir Gavin was pleased to meet the team involved in the hotel’s revival.
Sir Gavin said: ‘Aneesh, Vishal, Sachin and their team are doing really important work to maintain our local historic buildings. This hotel is central to the influx of visitors to Stone, and will help to boost our local businesses in return. This work is part of the project of maintaining Staffordshire’s heritage for future generations, and I’m proud to support Aneesh and his team in any way that I can.’
